DLA is also encouraging all members to take part in the Invading Species Awareness Program to address the increasing threats posed by invasive species to lakes in Ontario. Objectives include generating education and awareness of aquatic and terrestrial invasive species, addressing key pathways contributing to introductions and/or spread, and facilitating monitoring and early detection initiatives for invasive species found within Ontario.
