The South Frontenac Lake Ecosystem Grant Program provided funding for this project, enabling the DLA to engage two graduate biologists to study the littoral (nearshore) region of Devil Lake. Their work focused on collecting data and analyzing ecological conditions within this important habitat zone. The reports from this study were published in 2025.
